Happy New Year!

After being closed New Year’s Day, we are now back at work at MRT. The designers’ run-through of “A View of the Harbor” took place at our Bagshaw Mills rehearsal hall this afternoon. After today, the production will move over to Liberty Hall, where rehearsals will continue through opening night. This morning, director Charles Towers and the cast met with Nancye Tuttle of the Lowell Sun, and had a chance to discuss their views on their characters, the play, and Richard Dresser. Look for Nancye’s column in Steppin’ Out next Thursday. I will post a link when the column is online.

The Boston Globe’s article on “A View of the Harbor” playwright Richard Dresser was published on New Year’s Day in the Globe NW section. Richard touches on class in America, Bernard Madoff and why he set his series of plays on happiness in Maine. Read Stephanie Schorrow’s entire article here.

On Monday, look for my cast profile and short interview with Kyle Fabel (Nick) from “A View of the Harbor.”
