Merrimack Repertory Theatre would like to announce a Headshot/Resume request for our upcoming production of Fabuloso by John Kolvenbach. This production begins rehearsals on December 15, 2009, with previews starting on January 7, 2010, running through January 31, 2010. If you are interested, please forward your headshot & resume to crewe@merrimackrep.org or visit our employment page for more information.

Character Breakdown:

All actors should have refined comic skills.

TEDDY – Late 30’s.  A lovable, under-achieving everyman. A married girls soccer coach, approaching middle age. His generosity of spirit is considered, by Arthur, to be life-saving.

KATE – Late 30’s.  Teddy’s wife.  Has a white-collar job. Kind and generous, but also tough and disenchanted.  Indulges her husband’s shortcomings, at least so far.

ARTHUR – Late 30’s.  Teddy’s long lost best friend/adopted brother. An exile from a wealthy family who spent his formative years with Teddy’s. Great humor, pathos and lust for life. A seeming ne’er-do- well whose spirit brings soul back into Teddy and Kate’s home. He may be (but not necessarily) physically larger-than-life, as well as figuratively.

SAMANTHA – 20’s to early 30’s. Arthur’s fiery girlfriend. Spent the last decade as a lost soul.  Now grounding herself through her explosive, creative, playful relationship with Arthur.
