Every two years, men from around the globe gather together to determine which country is home to the greatest facial hair. At the most recent World Beard and Moustache championship, held in Anchorage, Alaska in 2009, Team USA was victorious, dethroning powerhouse Germany. The US captured a total of 29 medals, including 12 gold, competing in categories such as Best Full Beard, Imperial Moustache and the ever popular Freestyle, where anything goes. American David Traver was crowned overall champion after styling his beard to resemble a snowshoe. The 2011 World Championship will be hosted by the Norwegian Moustache Club in Trondheim, Norway. Get your tickets now, as seating capacity is limited to 250.
