MRT Executive Director Steven Leon

Dear MRT Patron,

Thanks so much for being one of the 40,000 theatre-goers who visit MRT each season. I’m very pleased that one of my first actions as MRT’s new Executive Director is to acknowledge your participation in our ongoing efforts to create great theatre here in Lowell, in the heart of the Merrimack Valley. It’s your collaboration with our Company, through your responses as our audience, which completes the artistic process. It’s your support that makes it all possible.

I’d like to invite you to be a part of another exciting event, the Campaign to Renovate Liberty Hall. We want to offer you, our loyal patrons, an opportunity to participate in this historic effort.

The renovation of Liberty Hall, made possible in part by your donation, will include new, wider seats, more legroom, side balcony seats angled to face the stage, a new concession lobby and a new first-floor handicapped-accessible Box Office. We will further enhance the audience experience by creating a reserve fund designed to maintain these renovations while simultaneously making an investment in the artistic work that will be seen in this renewed space.

Over the past several months we’ve lined up support from the City of Lowell and secured a grant from the prestigious Kresge Foundation along with major donations from area businesses and philanthropists. We’re almost there, but we still have a way to go to raise the rest of the funds necessary to complete the renovations – for as little as $500 per year for three years ($1,500) you can help meet our goal and secure your place in MRT history while “naming” seats and appearing on the beautiful new glass Donor Wall in the renovated lobby.

For more information on the Campaign to Renovate Liberty Hall, and to make an online contribution or print out a donation form, please see click here.

Please consider making your tax-deductible contribution. But I hope you’ll hurry; there are only about 175 seats left to be “named” and it won’t be the same without you.

Sincerely yours,

Steven Leon
Executive Director
