This Week at MRT 1/18/09

This past week was a busy one at MRT. A View of the Harbor opened last Sunday, and this past week we had several events coinciding with the performances. On Wednesday we had the 2PM Cookie Matinee (featuring cookies and coffee from Brewed Awakenings), and that evening was Wine Lover’s Night. This Thursday Director Charles Towers held a post show forum at the theatre, and next Thursday, January 22 will be Young Professionals Night. Members of the Young Professionals of Greater Lowell are invited to join us for a pre-show reception, with food from Mambo Grill, at 7PM that night. For more information on the Young Professionals Reception, email marketing@merrimackrep.org.

Another key event of the past week was the release of the 2008 Annual Report. MRT’s staff is proud to report that the theatre continued its artistic growth during the 2008 season, and is an a solid fiscal condition to weather the current economic climate. The report is available online by clicking the link above, and through MRT’s administrative offices.

We are also looking ahead to the next show in our season, Tranced by Bob Clyman. The 4 person cast of Tranced arrives in Lowell early next week, and rehearsals begin on Wednesday, January 21. Expect to see more cast profiles and interviews on the blog once they get settled in. Previews for Trance start on February 12.
